"It doesn't really matter who wrote me this letter. I'd much prefer just being with you, Aya!!"

― Yōko says to Aya before opening her supposed "love letter"

Yōko Inokuma (猪熊 陽子 Inokuma Yōko?) is one of the main character on Kin-iro Mosaic series. Her little brother, Kōta is the twin of her little sister, Mitsuki.

Appearance

Yōko has short auburn hair with chestnut-brown eyes. At most angles, Yōko is seen with a mini fang. As the oldest of the main cast, Yōko is taller than her friends. She is normally depicted in a light blue sweater-vest on top of a long sleeved white collared shirt. Like everyone else, she wears the standard school skirt and shoes, and usually a pair of black tights.

In the summer, her clothes remain the same with the exception of the removal of her vest. Her casual wear has a more tomboyish edge.

Personality

Yōko is energetic with a fiery sense of determination. She is very athletic and holds co-operation in high regards. While at first glance, Yōko may seem like a carefree person, she is actually quite level headed and most of the time, has her priorities set straight. Which causes her to often respond with shock or surprise by the antics of her friends.

Yōko is particularly fond of Alice because of her cute appearance and personality. At the same time, Yōko also enjoys teasing Aya because of her entertaining reactions.

Relationships

Aya Komichi

She has been friends with Aya and Shinobu ever since middle school, though since the latter left for England, Yōko became closer friends with Aya. She is highly dense to her feelings and constantly tugs on her weak points and can easily make her blush unintentionally. Yōko does, however, seem to care a great deal about Aya and worries about her if she seems down. At this point, Yōko does not seem to notice Aya's feelings, nor does she fully reciprocate them.

Shinobu Ōmiya

She has known Shino since they were little girls, and because of how responsible she was, she often acted like a big sister for Shino. They get along but are not shown bonding together as much as she is with the other girls.

Alice

Yoko finds Alice very cute and she loves to bring it up. She is normally kind and compliments her often, but she still remains honest and will tell her the truth about thing or if she gets too worked up. In return, Alice will mock Yoko for not being very smart, but tries to use kind words when doing so.

Karen

Due to their similar personalities, she gets along very well with Karen. They both enjoy eating and generally think the same about everything. While Yoko is usually calm or cool-headed, when with Karen she tends to get more lively and open.

Isami

After she saw how Shino and Yoko got along when they were little, Isami once put Yoko in charge of being a temporary big sister for Shino if she couldn't be around. In return, she also decided to become a big sister to Yoko to compensate her lack of an older sibling. Yoko feels close to Isami and often agrees with her on things when it comes to Shino.

Trivia

  • Her last name is a portmanteau of "猪" (wild boar) and "熊" (bear).
  • Her given name means "girl like the Sun."
  • Her flower motif is the Hydrangea.
