Shinobu Ōmiya (大宮 忍 Ōmiya Shinobu) is the protagonist of Kin-iro Mosaic series.
Appearance
Shinobu has dark, olive-green hair, and auburn eyes.
Personality
A graceful, optimistic girl that Alice often claims to be very elegant but in reality is carefree. She has bad grades and struggles to remember much, but she is unable to unless she's really inspired. She has an obsession with girls that have blonde hair and things "western". So much so that she will often wear outfits she claims to be western, no matter the weather. However this seems to have developed after her trip, as she wasn't like this when she was younger and originally met Alice.
Because of how she acts others deem her to be younger then she really is, which frustrates her. She cares greatly about Alice, even more than blonde girls in general, but because of her air-headed nature she tends to mix up things.

- Shinobu is said to be 155 cm tall (almost 5'1").
- She's not a tech person as mentioned in Aya Pounding in Rain. She even believes she could catch a computer virus.
- Her zodiac sign is Gemini.
- A gag in the series is that Shinobu's head and hairstyle look similarly to a kokeshi doll.
- Shinobu has an exceptional skill when playing hide and seek as mentioned by Yōko in Who Didn't Sleep.
- Shinobu seems to have talent in attracting people to listen to her stories in Golden Times.
